Bugler Group celebrates Earth Day 2021
This Earth Day, Bugler Group is sharing two stories from across our organisation.
The first is our recently secured development on Plashet Road which will be built to Passivhaus standard. Passivhaus is a leading low energy design standard, and is a highly effective way of providing high standards of comfort and health, as well as reducing energy use and carbon emissions from housing.
Bugler Developments CEO Andy Bugler says, “We are pleased to be amongst the small number of UK homebuilders providing new housing in compliance with the innovative Passivhaus design standard. Our environmental impact and delivering sustainable homes are at the forefront of all our construction activities. We recognise the role we play in this crucial time for the environment and I am, therefore, proud to share this story on Earth Day and look forward to reporting progress as we near completion”.
We are also showcasing The Orchard at The Woodlarks, our gated housing development in Bagshot. The Orchard is an environmental communal space, including appointed trees, plants and a wildflower meadow.
Provisions have also been made for birds, bats and bees, with housing and bee bricks located across The Orchard. An insect hotel and mounds will also provide a home for many invertebrates.
Bugler Homes CEO Kieran Bugler, says “We take our responsibility to the environment seriously. At the heart of The Woodlarks is The Orchard, featuring ecological measures to encourage local biodiversity. Earth Day is a chance to celebrate not only a peaceful environment for our residents, but also for the nature that inhabits it.”
