Bugler Foundation continues to support Watford FC CSE Trust
The Bugler Foundation has been pleased to support the Watford FC Community and Sports Education Trust once again for the 2022/23 season.
The Trust’s activities align closely with areas that the Bugler Foundation has supported through funding, including grassroots sport, mental health, and local education. Across the season last season, this funding has helped support the Trust continue to support the local community, particularly with key projects that overlap with the aforementioned synergies. Programmes such as Man On! and Positive Minds.
During the 2022/23 season, the Trust engaged over 15,000 people (unique users) across their various projects, activities, and events. Examples of some of this success include over 600 young football players now taking part in their Player Development Pathways. Whilst across mental health, Positive Minds has engaged over 200 primary schools, which means over 10,000 children have received mental health awareness education, including learning coping strategies and the support networks around them.
Away from schools, one of the Trust’s other projects focussing on mental health is Man On! Man On! is a sports-based mental wellbeing programme designed to support men aged 18+ with their mental health through physical activity and a conversation café. The programme turned five this year and has now increased to four venues with 100+ referrals in the last year (Watford, Three Rivers, St Albans, Harrow).
