“Plant Magic” at RHS Chelsea and Hertfordshire County Show
In April, the Bugler Foundation provided a donation to the Blue Tangerine Federation.
Staff and the pupils at St Luke’s School in Redbourn, one of three educational centres part of the Federation, had created a garden called “Plant Magic” which secured a prestigious place at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
The Bugler Foundation donation assisted logistics and transport of the garden from Hertfordshire to London.
The accessible sensory garden combines wild flowers and cultivated vegetables and herbs to connect the roots between humans and plants. They have used recycled materials where they could and have grown most of the plants at St Luke’s School.
At Chelsea, Plant Magic was awarded a Bronze Award by the judging panel – a remarkable achievement and testament to the great work of the pupils, and the staff at the Federation alike.
Then, in what was a busy week for the garden, it was transported overnight ready for the Hertfordshire County Show at Redbourn on 29th May 2022.
Here, many more people could see and interact with the Plant Magic garden – as the practices of the children at the Blue Tangerine Federation were shared with a wider audience who could celebrate their nature-inspired accomplishments.
