Groundbreaking at Haydon Drive

Mar 27, 2026

On Friday 20th March, Bugler Developments and Hillingdon Council celebrated the beginning of work on the redevelopment of Haydon Drive, at a groundbreaking ceremony in Northwood Hills.

The Bugler Developments Team, including Jeremy Graham, Bugler Development’s Chief Operating Officer were delighted to mark the occasion alongside Councillor Jonathan Bianco, Deputy Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Corporate Services and Property and Cllr Steve Tuckwell, Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing and Growth.

The project involves the demolition of sixteen small studio bungalows which are no longer fit for purpose. These are being replaced with six three-bed and fifteen four-bed properties together with new infrastructure, hard and soft landscaping and a play area. These will be for Hillingdon residents, helping to address the borough’s pressing need for larger council homes. Three of the homes will be fully adaptable for wheelchair access with flexible features which can be tailored to meet living conditions for families with complex needs.

Jeremy Graham said, “We were pleased to mark the start of the Haydon Drive redevelopment alongside Councillors Bianco and Tuckwell and the wider project team, with a groundbreaking ceremony. The team is very much looking forward to starting the scheme, which will deliver 21 new homes for the local community.”

Cllr Tuckwell said, “Larger homes are greatly sought after and I’m delighted to see works commence at Haydon Drive which will transform the outdated site, unlock more high quality council homes which meet the needs of established Hillingdon residents and revitalise the neighbourhood.”
