Completion at Burgoynes Depot

On Friday, 6th March, the Bugler Developments Team was pleased to mark the completion of 48 new, affordable, Passivhaus-principle homes for the London Borough of Newham at a ceremony at Burgoynes Depot.
The development transforms a historic industrial site in East Ham into high-quality homes designed to meet the needs of residents. We were delighted to celebrate the completion alongside Mayor of Newham Rokhsana Fiaz; Andy Bugler, Bugler Group CEO; and colleagues from the Bugler Developments and Newham project teams.
Designed following Passivhaus-inspired principles, Burgoynes Depot is a sustainable development, helping reduce carbon emissions and energy consumption while keeping homes warmer and lowering energy bills for residents.
The scheme also incorporates elements of the former Burgoynes chemical factory, including a retained façade, preserving the site’s heritage while revitalising the area with improved landscaping and open spaces for residents and the wider community.
Andy Bugler, Bugler Group CEO, said, “The Bugler team are delighted to mark the completion of 48 new affordable homes, built in partnership with the London Borough of Newham at the historical Burgoynes Depot in East Ham. The sustainable design and high-quality execution of these Passivhaus principle homes is testament to the hard work and commitment of all involved. It was fantastic to celebrate handover alongside Mayor Fiaz and colleagues from Newham and we wish future residents many happy years in their new homes.”
