Breaking Ground at Acre Road

On 29th January 2026, the Bugler Developments Team celebrated breaking ground at Acre Road, in Kingston-upon-Thames.
Our team was joined by representatives from Kingston Council with the ‘groundbreaking’ marking the start of work on site. The project will provide 45 new homes for older people and adults with learning disabilities that have been specifically designed to help residents to live as independently as possible in a safe and supportive environment.
Andy Bugler, Bugler Group CEO said, “We’re proud to be working in partnership with The Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames at Acre Road. This project will deliver 45 high-quality, much needed new homes for local residents. We’re delighted to see work getting underway on site and hope it is the start of a long and successful partnership with the Council.”
Councillor Hamed, Portfolio Holder for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Equalities, said: “Schemes like these demonstrate how focussed the council is in making sure people can live more independent and fulfilling lives, and it’s exciting for us to be able to deliver truly affordable homes, at council rent levels.
“We want to increase opportunities for people to live a happy and healthy life, and meeting the growing housing needs and aspirations of our residents is an important part of that.
“We are putting people at the heart of this project and will be working closely with future tenants to understand their individual needs and empower them to make their own choices. I look forward to seeing this project come to life and to welcoming new residents into their homes in the years ahead.”
