Completion at Kingside

On Tuesday 16th June the Bugler Developments Team was pleased to celebrate the completion of 32 new social rent homes for Dacorum Borough Council.

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Kingside, to mark the new development of 14 family houses and 18 apartments. The development, in Grovehill, was built on underused council land with part funding from Homes England.

The homes have been designed to be energy efficient and help reduce running costs for residents. Each property has an air source heat pump and a ventilation/heating system that provides fresh, filtered air while removing moisture from kitchens and bathrooms.

Every house has its own electric vehicle charging point, and there are 18 additional charging points in the communal car parks.

We were joined by Sally Symington, Leader of the Council; Cllr. Simy Dhyani, Portfolio Holder for Housing and Property Services and the Council Deputy Leader; Natasha Beresford, Strategic Director, Housing and Property Services; alongside Jeremy Graham, Bugler Developments COO; Ben Ephgrave, Bugler Developments Construction Director; the project team and some of the new tenants.

The houses and apartments are sustainable and comfortable, and it is fantastic to see them already occupied with new residents enjoying their homes.” 

Cllr Simy Dhyani said, “I am incredibly proud to celebrate the completion of Kingside in Hemel Hempstead with our new residents. The 32 new homes for social rent provide high-quality affordable housing to people on our housing register. The official opening of Kingside is another milestone in addressing the housing need in Dacorum and I wish all of our new residents many years of happiness in their new homes.”

New tenant Kamran Khan said: “Moving into our new home has been life changing for us. We have an adapted property which we needed for our six-year-old son and it has made such a difference to our lives. We are over the moon with our new home.”
