With construction work now underway at the former Brian Didsbury Centre in East Ham on our new flagship development for Red Door Ventures, a wholly owned housing delivery company of Newham Council, it was our pleasure to host on site a visit from both Rokhsana Fiaz OBE, Mayor of Newham, and James Murray, London Deputy Leader for Housing and Residential Development.  The visit was organised to showcase that Newham is on site and building after the successful bid to the Building Council Homes for Londoners programme and being awarded £107 million in grant funding. This was the highest allocation out of all London boroughs.

The development, which is on track to complete by the summer 2021, will create 148 new build homes including 71 at London Affordable rents and will replace a single storey office and storage building. It will consist of one, two and three bedroom accommodation within two blocks and a communal garden.

Bugler Group CEO, Andy Bugler, said
“It was an absolute pleasure to join Deborah in meeting both Rokhsana and James on site this morning.   We have completed a number of new build projects in Newham over the years and it is fantastic to now have the opportunity to work with Red Door Ventures on this really innovative and exciting development which will help provide some much needed homes in the Borough”
